Bernard Charvin, a former member of the French team (1969-73), selected for the Sapporo Winter Olympics in 1972, instructor and national trainer, locally born and bred, took full advantage of his reputation and skills by sharing his knowledge with all ski enthusiasts, and set up his first ski store in 1972. The store was then run by his uncle, Jean Sullice, former teacher at the National Mountaineering and Ski School of Chamonix.
The Bernard Charvin Sports ski equipment hire and sale store in Courchevel 1850 offers you a warm welcome. Its experienced professional team is at your disposal to meet all your requirements in terms of skis, snowboards and sportswear, and to advise you on the equipment best suited to your level.
Professionalism, dedication and a friendly attitude are the key values of the Bernard Charvin Sports team!!
Courchevel
Courchevel is the best known resort of
the biggest ski domain in the world,
Les Trois Vallées, with 600 kilometres of runs. Make the most of the panoramic views and majestic landscapes in
Trois Vallées:
the Mont Blanc massif, the Ecrins massif, the Swiss and Italian Alps.
The Courchevel valley ski domain extends over
528 hectares of mountain terrain,
dedicated exclusively to the practice of all
boardsports.
Backed by its 200 ski lifts and 330 runs, the Courchevel ski domain guarantees you high quality snow and optimal skiing, from the start to the end of the season... Whether you are a beginner, a top level skier, a lover of wide open spaces, a family skier, or a rider, Courchevel offers you several specific recreational zones, dedicated to the pleasure of boardsports:
These areas are reserved for children and families who have never skied. They have been specially designed and adapted to protect beginners while learning, with well maintained and secured wide runs. The Courchevel domain has four ZEN zones: two at Courchevel 1850, one at Courchevel 1650 and one at the foot of the Praz cable cars.
The Stop Zone, located on the Grandes Bosses piste in Courchevel 1650, allows you to test your ability to stop safely. You start out on the run, then stop as fast as possible after the stop zone indicator. Your braking is OK if you can stop yourself in the blue zone; if you don't stop until the red zone… you just have to go back to the beginning and get more practice in!
Every Wednesday and Saturday, at the Avalanch’ Camp chalet at the foot of the Suisses chair lifts,
members of the ski patrol team will teach you life-saving responses and the techniques of searching for avalanche victims,
using special equipment such as an ARVA transceiver, a shovel and a probe.
In addition, the slopes maintenance service provides you with the equipment you need for "real" practice.
Discover the entertaining events and activities specially designed for children and proposed by the tribal chief, who will tell you the history of his people, invite you to join his tribe, and offer you a treasure hunt in the village of teepees.
Located on the Loze run, the Snowcross trail is full of potential hazards, "whoops" and raised bends. The principle is simple: four people start simultaneously and the winner is the first one to arrive at the bottom!
Equipped with different rail and box modules, the Railpark is the new freestyle concept, taking the place of the old snowpark at the Plantrey chair lifts. Two Railparkers welcome you and advise you on site, whether you are beginners or experienced riders.
